Mentoring
A Mentor will advise, support, guide and challenge their Mentee by:
Unfortunately not. This programme is only for those currently working in a leadership role, or about to start one.
If you have skills to learn and skills to share, we recommend you start the programme as a Mentee, and in the following year do it as a Mentor. Mentees who have benefited from the programme are encouraged to become Mentors once they gain experience and confidence, to give back to the for-purpose sector.
The For-Purpose Sector Leadership Mentoring Programme is an annual mentoring program facilitated by SociaLink designed to strengthen leadership abilities by pairing Mentors with Mentees, providing support for both current and aspiring leaders within the community sector.

Mentoring is a relationship that supports and encourages the personal leadership journey of individuals and their organisations.
This programme has excellent feedback in relation to the benefits gained by Mentees primarily, but also Mentors as they develop their skills in the process of helping their Mentee.
Who it’s for:
Any not-for-profit or for-purpose organisation operating in the Western Bay of Plenty.
Mentee – Any person currently in a leadership role in Governance or Management, working in a not-for-profit or for-purpose organisation operating in the Western Bay of Plenty, who is ready to learn, take the time to prepare for meetings and implement agreed actions.
Mentor – Any person who has experience and skills in the for-purpose sector and the time and desire to volunteer to support, advise, guide and challenge a Mentee.
Cost:
$250 payable by each Mentee
Mentoring Coordinator
