Other Training Providers

New Zealand based training

These are some of the organisations that provide training for our sector that our members have found useful.

“Exult is one of New Zealand’s leading training providers for the community sector. We support groups with the business end of what they do, by providing practical training and resources in everyday language.”

They run face-to-face workshops in the Tauranga area and produce the ‘Tonic’ magazine.

The Auckland North Community and Development (ANCAD) Professional Development and Training Programme is known as LiiFT AOTEAROA.

“LiiFT AOTEAROA seeks to both inform and inspire – that’s why there are two ‘i’s in LiiFT.”

They do a very good free online governance course, with zoom sessions once a month for 10 months.

Centre for Not for Profit Governance & Leadership

“We partner with social service and community organisations across Aotearoa to lift governance and leadership capability. When leaders are confident, clear and connected, organisations can navigate change, steward resources responsibly and serve their communities well. Our coaching, training and facilitation are designed by and for the sector, and grounded in community realities.”

Powered by Infoxchange

“The TechSoup New Zealand program supports New Zealand charitable organisations to build stronger communities through technology. The TechSoup New Zealand program is powered by Infoxchange, a leading not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to using technology to improve the lives of people experiencing disadvantage and the organisations that support them.”

TechSoup does great training in technology online, often for free. For example, AI and cyber-security training. They do live webinars, have recordings of previous webinars, and on-demand courses.

“We are the leading provider of Professional Development workshops for the Social Sector, covering New Zealand and beyond!
CPD delivered online, face-to-face and on demand – the choice is yours.  Boost your skills with expert-led training designed for helping professionals like you.”

“As the national membership-based organisation open to all community-based social service providers. We champion what our members need to work effectively alongside children and whānau in their communities. We take an intergenerational view, focusing on the aspirations of families and whānau and what they need to thrive now and into the future.”
