Tō Mātou Tīma - Our Team

Alongside my social work experience, I hold a ‘Leading Beyond Sustainability’ micro-credential. I’m especially interested in sustainability that centres people, communities, and the environment. That’s why the group volunteering role really spoke to me — it’s all about meaningful connection and collective impact.

I’m originally from South East London, but Aotearoa has been home since 2011. After a few years in Auckland, I moved to Tauranga and was quickly drawn in by the ocean, the community vibe and the people. My whānau and I now live in Papamoa.

I’ve been a Social Worker for over 16 years, working across government, health, and the charity sector — including with Canteen. I’m passionate about helping others, supporting community, and creating spaces for people to thrive.

Experience & Expertise:
  • Social work and community support

  • Sustainability in people and systems

  • Building relationships across sectors

  • Project coordination

What I can help with:

As Group Volunteering Coordinator, I help build connections between:

  • Businesses, clubs, schools and groups wanting to volunteer

  • For-purpose organisations needing support with one-off projects

  • People passionate about teamwork, community and making a difference

Let’s grow a culture of group volunteering that benefits everyone involved — the volunteers, the groups, and the community.
