Meet Paula Beilby
Ko Mauao te Maunga
Ko Tauranga te Moana
Ko Ngai te Rangi, ko Ngati Ranginui ngā iwi
Ko Ngāti Hē, ko Ngai Tukairangi, ko Te Whānau o Tauwhao, ko Te Pirirākau ngā hapū
Kāore te kumara e kōrero mō tōna ake reka!
The kumara doesn’t talk about how sweet it is!
This whakatauki places it’s emphasis on remaining humble in all circumstances especially of those pertaining to self.
Paula joins the Volunteers Services division of Socialink and brings with it many years experience in governance in the For-profit sector, her small business acumen (entertainment and tourism), some valuable years in the corporate game in both the UK and Australia and all this set upon a solid foundation of her proud heritage which connects her to her many marae and hapū here in Tauranga Moana. A perfect recipe for her role, within the female-strong roopu (group) of Socialink, as an advocate for volunteering in the Western Bay of Plenty.
