Mana Wāhine, Mana Pūtera explores two questions: why so little philanthropic funding goes to women and gender equity in Aotearoa, and what might shift that.

Findings from the New Zealand Council of Christian Social Services (NZCCSS) latest report show more New Zealanders are being trapped in poverty. The ‘Kua Mahue | Left Behind’ report brings to light the persistent and pervasive nature of poverty in Aotearoa. It draws together a range of data from government and other sources, alongside input from frontline organisations.

Earlier this year DIA announced changes to the structure of lottery distribution committees from
1 July 2026. Existing commitments will continue to be supported, subject to formal approval under the new committee structure. All current multi-year grants recipients will be contacted by DIA with information about this.
