In my spare time, I enjoy supporting my tamariki in their many kaupapa, spending time with whānau, gardening, pottering around our homestead, and gathering kaimoana.

Ko Waiaria Rameka tōku ingoa
One of life’s special blessings has been raising my tamariki on their ancestral lands, surrounded by the waters of Tauranga Moana. For the past 18 years, I have lived in Te Puna with my husband and children, feeling both privileged and grateful to call Tauranga my home.
With over a decade of experience in project management and environmental research, I have worked alongside hapū and whānau in Tauranga Moana, supporting their research aspirations. My approach is grounded in the whakataukī “He kai kei aku ringa” — the belief that we hold within our own hands the resources to sustain ourselves and overcome challenges. This guides my work, ensuring that the skills and knowledge of our people are harnessed to achieve meaningful outcomes.
I feel privileged to be part of the Whakamana Tangata team as Kairuruku (Senior Project Coordinator), where I can continue to support Māori communities. In this role, my focus is on helping whānau navigate the funding landscape, providing guidance and resources to achieve their goals.
