Tō Mātou Tīma - Our Team

I now call Mt Maunganui home and when I’m not at work or volunteering, you’ll often find me walking our dog along the beach, enjoying precious time with family, or unwinding with a glass of wine in the sun. It’s a perfect balance of work, community, and the things I love most. If you’d like to learn more about how you can get involved, I’d love to hear from you!

I am fortunate to have grown up in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, and after spending three decades away—raising a family in Pukekohe and exploring Australia—I knew it was time to return to Tauranga. There’s something special about this place and it is great to be home.

Experience & Expertise:

For thirty years I have worked in the disability sector, where I’ve had the privilege of wearing many hats—advocating for individuals, coordinating projects, delivering training, and conducting needs assessments.

Volunteering has always been a part of my life and giving back is something I’ve carried with me throughout my career. It is a privilege to now be working with Volunteering Services under the SociaLink umbrella.

What I DO:

As the Volunteer Support and Engagement Advisor, my role is all about connecting people with meaningful volunteer opportunities. Whether you’re an individual eager to volunteer, a community group in need of support, or a business looking to organise a team volunteering event, I’m here to help you on your volunteering journey.
