The Organisational Advisor (OA) works alongside you and helps you to build the capability of your organisation, working at governance, management or operational levels. They can also assist you in setting up a new legal entity for your group or help with organizational assessments to see if you are on track with your goals.
What:
Usually, the first meeting is face-to-face so that both parties can get to know each other and the organisations they represent. From here the OA will make recommendations, offer guidance, share templates and resources and/or signposts to others who can help. An action plan can be made for ongoing assistance.
If it’s just a quick question and answer, then no meeting is necessary and the OA can be contacted by email.
Why?:
Sometimes smaller organisations cannot afford to have staff with senior management skills, for example, so SociaLink offers access to highly experienced staff in their subject fields.
Organisational Advisors support managers and board members to increase their confidence to perform at their best and to look for continuous improvement opportunities.
By offering access to resources, referrals and templates, SociaLink can save organisations a lot of time and money by not having to research on their own.
Who it’s for:
Any not-for-profit or for-purpose organisation operating in the Western Bay of Plenty.

I just wanted to say that after our chat yesterday, I felt like I’d been able to break through a massive mental blockage with the accreditation process, and I’m feeling so much more on top of things. …..Two really cool things came out of our discussion yesterday (more than just ideas for satisfying Quality Improvement) and I thought worth sharing with you so you know that I really really mean it when I say how helpful you are! ……

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the work you are doing to support our communities – you are sooo good at what you do!! It’s also fantastic to see the number of migrant community groups accessing your support, and having the connection with SociaLink, it’s so awesome to see!
