Advocacy
Ensuring the sector is aware of key policy changes, and assisting the sector to have a voice is one of our key roles. SociaLink also raises awareness of local social issues e.g. poverty, income inequality, given the impact such issues have on communities and are underlying factors that drive demand for social services.
Child Poverty Action Group
The vision of the national Child Poverty Action Group vision is an Aotearoa where all children flourish free from poverty. The local CPAG is an open group and anyone is welcome to attend and participate.
Pay Equity Campaign
Workers in non government organisations (NGO’s) are paid considerably lower than their colleagues in Government or District Health Boards, yet are often working with the same clients.
