Is there a volunteer at your community group who deserves some recognition? Have you ever thought about shining a spotlight on the work your community group does and getting some region-wide promotion?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Make sure you nominate your volunteers and your community group\u00a0for the TECT Community Awards – the community event of the year that celebrates all those who make our region such a special place to live! Nominations close at the end of the month, and take only a few minutes to complete.<\/p>\n

If you can fit into one of these categories, then your group is eligible. You can nominate your own group or someone else’s.<\/p>\n

  1. Event Excellence Award<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0recognising an event that has excelled in bringing our community together.<\/li>\n
  2. Sustainable Future Award<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0recognising a group that demonstrates sustainable practices embedded into the organisational strategy, vision and operations.<\/li>\n
  3. Diversity and Inclusion Award<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0recognising an innovative initiative which supports diversity and inclusion within our community.<\/li>\n
  4. Heart of the Community Award<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 recognising a group that has gone above and beyond business as usual to support a thriving, caring and connected community.<\/li>\n
  5. Youth Spirit Award<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 recognising an individual under 25 who embodies community spirit through their contribution to the community.<\/li>\n
  6. Volunteer of the Year Award<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 recognising an individual who has made a significant contribution to the community.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
